Invite Najib to manage MCA? No need, coup drama ends soon

Hishammuddin Hussein must have enjoyed playing the devil’s advocate when he mischievously suggested tis high time the MCA leadership seek Barisan Nasional’s chairman Najib Razak’s help to intervene in MCA’s internal affairs.

Looks like MCA’s 2nd echelon leaders are now given the final warning through the mouth of their favorite UMNO brother.

Liow Tiong Lai (another specimen of a flip flopper), Wee Ka Siong and Chew Mei Fun better pay heed to UMNO’s signal and not misread it as UMNO’s support for their coup attempt.

Meanwhile,

1. 1Malaysians continues to enjoy reading and gossiping about MCA’s infernal affairs over their morning kopi, roti bakar and half boiled egg

2. The aunties get to learn a thing or two on how not to convene an EGM to resolve internal home problems

3. Political newbies get a chance of a lifetime to observe first hand the do’s and don’ts of Chinese politics, especially the part on how to avoid being a hapless political pawn.

As for me, I’ll be eagerly awaiting for MCA coup drama to fizzle out, hopefully the MCA kids to please be on their best behaviour themselves when Comrade Hu Jintao arrives on November 10 in Malaysia to talk economy.

And, I’m already excited anticipating 2012’s premier next week.

Ong Tee Keat offer his candidacy for President?

Go on.

Dare you to.

Call for MCA election for President and Deputy President posts.

Shut up the vulture factions once and for all.

Nothing to lose.

You didn’t sabotage MCA party constitution.

Members who are sidelined by central delegates appointees by vulture factions will respect you more. Maybe you can stop MCA members from leaving the party en masse at the same time.

Pakatan Rakyat is waiting, no, salivating for you to join them quick if the vulture factions conspire to boot you out.

Recount on vote of confidence for President at MCA EGM !

Woah! Surprise from Wisma MCA, Jalan Ampang…

Malaysian Mirror says:

“3.22pm It has been announced that there is only one percent difference in the votes on the first resolution – the motion of no-confidence against the president. A recount has been called.

One percent of 2,304 votes means a difference of 23-24 votes.

Votes on the other two resolutions are confirmed okay, meaning that there is at least a two percent difference.”

Looks like Malaysia Cinta Party will have many, many, many new members very, very soon…!!

MCA Boleh! Barisan Nasional Boleh!

Water will not clean MCA but will fuel Pakatan

Need Clorox.

Need a good variety of strong disinfectants, too.

Will the fortunes of MCA will be spent on deploying detergent agents everytime le DVD pops up in the market due to insatiable fan requests for naughty stuffs?

Does it mean tightening of MCA budgets, as $$ diverted to clean ups will be shaved from budgets for members activities and training?

Gulp, no more big dinners? No more gatherings in nice hotel settings?

How about that, MCA members?

Would you be willing to sacrifice your already miniscule budgetary allocation to the neverending Ops Bersih?

You don’t care?

So for now, you recommend to use water only cos you can live with a little stain, besides, why spend additional energy or scrub clean with smelly disinfectant?

But… when we start to visualise with longer range tactical thinking, we will see a pesky vision of big $$ deployment to fuel clean ups of sexy grime buildups especially near the next General Election.

Gone lar… division/branch peruntukan for pilihanraya!!

And while our brain cells are on tactical thinking mode, let’s venture to imagine that Pakatan Rakyat, especially DAP will forget to capitalise on this popular stain in the 13th GE.

Yesss, this will be a very useless tool for PR to even use to compare and contrast how Barisan Nasional uses 2 legal systems to treat its peoples:

1 set for Anwar Ibrahim and another set for Chua Soi Lek.

Poor Anwar Ibrahim needs to go through the courts to clear himself off the mattress aka bed stains evidence.

Chua Soi Lek need not go through the courts to clear himself off the video dvd evidence.

Ooohm….. and let’s continue to pray MCA members will never be tasked to answer for this folly by their constituents voters.

Who’s afraid of reform or THE slippers?

Frankly, my dear, I’m still sandalised oops scandalised with the stupidity of the 921 MCA members….

Diam, oops, Daim is one disappointed man too…

.

“It is a great disappointment that the MCA Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) is not being used for a united MCA call for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal to bring to book all MCA, Umno and Barisan Nasional leaders implicated in the “mother of all scandals”.

When former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin could say that the PKFZ fiasco provides the Barisan Nasional government the best opportunity to fulfill its promise of cracking down on corruption, abuse of power and mismanagement, why are MCA, Umno and other Barisan Nasional component parties dragging their feet when they should be acting decisively to identity and punish the wrongdoers, without fear or favour and regardless of their present or past position or status?

Daim speaks with great authority, knowledge and experience when he said:

“The government must punish all those lawbreakers, only then can it regain the public’s confidence. In the past, the public did not see those who abused their power getting punished, resulting in more abuses of power. As such, it (making the PKFZ audit report public) is a good start”.

(Read more here: Daim: PKFZ fiasco provides best opportunity)

.

Now, we have a fiery grand ole man of DAP Uncle Lim Kit Siang who is very angry with MCA:

“This is why the MCA, as the party which is most implicated in the PKFA scandal as so many MCA top leaders were involved whether as Transport Minister or Port Klang Authority Chairman, should take a stand to ensure that there should be no further cover-up of the PKFZ scandal and its EGM should, among other things, demonstrate the undivided support of the MCA delegates for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to bring to book all MCA, Umno and BN leaders implicated in the PKFZ “mother of all scandals”.

.

Oh dear…

Now we know why Chua Soi Lek’s campaign team works so tirelessly to bring about the MCA EGM….

What or Who gives, Soi Lek?

And while we are at it, MCA Central Delegates, will you do the right thing or risk your moral values for le fury de garland of slippers?

MCA’s Ong Tee Keat seeks new 1Malaysia stars of blogging generation

.

BOLEHLAND, Aug 21 — MCA mogul Ong Tee Keat “OTK” wants you — an MCA star of the blogging generation. He does not want a member who can only talk, think, or look good on TV, but one who can do all that, and social network.

This past Sunday, OTK launched a new TV competition show on the MCA cable network called “OTK’s MCAStar” that, like Astro’s “Akademi Fantasia,” aims to find an unknown member who has the stuff to join Barisan Nasional “BN” stable of political stars.

But heading into a new decade of the 21st Century, winning fame and fortune as a politician is far different that when the maveric political party president, member of Parliament, writer and all-around debater first became a star his own right since the 1980s.

“The game has changed,” OTK told BOLEHNEWS this week.

“You have to understand how to be able to position & brand yourself,” he said. “Before, it was just at rhetorical talk, now you have to be able to deliver on your promises, you have to be able to do a great interview, you need to have a great blog, you have to have a sincere media presence.”

“OTK’s MCAStar,” which will premier next Sunday with 100 contestants, runs through 2009-2011 and has a format similar to “Akademi Fantasia” and other TV talent contests by eliminating member performers who fail to make the cut until a winner is crowned.

OTK said his show different from a “voyeuristic standpoint” because it gives behind-the-scenes footage of the member contestants interacting with each other and watching from backstage as their rivals perform.

He has another show airing on media called “Courage To Change, Creating New Values,” in which OTK seeks dedicated party members to back him on an overdue MCA party reform and support his agenda, “Reform of MCA.” The show began since he assumed Presidency in October 2008 with many undiscovered members competing for spots, and it runs through 2012.

“Hopefully I’ll be able to get a whole party, but if I’m able to get pieces, whatever I’m able to get,” he said. “It’s about giving some young and committed members an opportunity.”

OTK founded New Courage & Values Agenda in the 1990s and finding success as an unconventional political member who talk without fear or favour in regards to MCA politico, business and reformation. He has also committed to revamping PKFZ: The Tiong King Sing connection and CSL: The Moral & Political Dilemma of A Naughty Deputy. — BOLEHNEWS

Najib’s supreme diplomacy; MCA delegates to fight for seats at AGM

It seems to me many Malaysians read newspapers and the online media with half awaken minds and comatosed logic. Only sex, scandals and more scandals can do magic to raise the poor zombies. (Don’t blame education system, only yourself to blame for refusing to kickstart your brain engine)

Didn’t BN already said each component party is their own boss within their respective political party?

No. 2 man Muhyiddin Yassin clearly clarified:
“All parties have their problems but the important thing its how to solve them. Whatever the problems, we must solve them ourselves.” (Bernama: “Don’t use media to solve internal problems“)

Starved for a scandal, the media is feverishly playing up the problems of Ong Tee Keat and Chua Soi Lek. Not so different from vultures waiting for the tempting flesh to feast on.

Eager for a fight to happen, the media is now speculating on a matter of importance only to MCA members and delegates.

Gone were the days when Malaysia newspapers reported facts. No wonder sales of newspapers goes down in parallel with its degeneration to thrashy tabloid. Readers are sending signals to newspapers to buck up on news facts, but unfortunately, the newspapers managers are too thick.

Not to be outdone, online media is also catching up on speculative hearsays aka gossip in their ‘news’ report. See how a simple matter has been elevated skyhigh on the scandal scale:

“Rumours have been swirling within MCA that Barisan Nasional (BN) chairperson and premier Najib Abdul Razak are not on the same page over the party’s annual general assembly, usually held by Aug 31. Many have seen this as a sign of Najib’s displeasure with MCA president Ong Tee Keat, over the latter’s public squabbles with deputy Dr Chua Soi Lek.” (Malaysiakini: “Najib not delaying MCA meet“)

The above is an exemplery example of poor journalism or rather of a reporter with extremely low competency in politics. News facts, dear reporter. Your job is not to spread rumours or hearsay.

The way I see it, its more like Najib is waiting for MCA’s Disciplinary Board to get its report to the Presidential Council’s decision.

Clever Najib certainly knows his diplomacy and this is an excellent show of respecting MCA’s rights to resolve its internal issues before he comes to open MCA’s AGM.

Yep, MCA the political party’s internal issue is entirely its own to resolve. Nobody who’s not a member or a delegate has got the locus standi to stick their grubby little fingers in matters relating to management of MCA.

Unless, of course, they are the main actors involved in a disciplinary issue. Unless, of course they want to see UMNO’s balancing partner dies an early death. Devoid without its life partner, UMNO dies also. How devious.

Meanwhile, a big kudos to Najib. Good one. This is a real life example of leadership that I’ve been waiting for BN to demonstrate to 1Malaysia.

Wishing Najib a productive meeting in China; come back and makeover

Come back with good news for Malaysians, Mr Prime Minister. Us clear headed ones are rooting for results for Malaysia.

I hope your aides have updated you about Hu Jintao’s Communist Party Of China and the quantum leap CPC made to move ahead alongside their citizens.

It is very important to keep up appearances with the times; the makeover methods deployed by the prime movers to maintain their coveted positions in the world.

May be perhaps you already know about this and are going to do the same with UMNO. If you do, please educate your brothers in Barisan Nasional component parties (MCA, MIC, Gerakan, PPP, SAPP, SUPP, PBS, etc) to do the same too.

On governing, PKFZ is a good starting point to emphasise the makeover initiative.

Here’s something on CPC below:

Party leader promising to act to set things right

Today was a busy day. Trust in politics has been eroded so much over the last week that I knew we needed to act fast to start setting things right. I began by meeting individual members of the Shadow Cabinet. We went through those claims that have caused concern, and they agreed to pay them back. There is a genuine desire to recognise and respond to the public anger.

Next I met the Shadow Cabinet as a whole and told them the immediate action I’m going to ask all my MPs to take. All expenses must be published online; you can’t ‘flip’ your second home to make more money; if you sell a home on which the taxpayer has been making mortgage interest payments, you have to pay Capital Gains Tax; and any claims on furniture, household goods, food – all those things we’ve read about – are banned.

After that I met the Executive of the 1922 Committee and then the whole of the Parliamentary Party. I went through the new rules in detail and told them about the key proposal for a Scrutiny Panel – including someone completely independent from the Party – to go over all excessive claims and see whether they need to be paid back. I had to be very clear about this: if they don’t co-operate with the Scrutiny Panel, they can’t continue to be MPs.

And it’s not just those in Parliament who need to understand this mission. It’s also those who aspire to be. Every single candidate has got to sign up to this new way of doing politics. They need to know that working in Parliament is a great privilege – one that must never be abused again.

All this is about being the change we seek. If we want responsibility in our society and thrift in our government, we’ve got to live by those values ourselves.

From,

A Political Party Leader

**

Sigh…  no excuses, no spinning or whitewashing in newspapers or online news portal. Just zooming in straight on the problem, then zipping about restoring confidence in people simply by way of plain communication to show voters what action is undergoing and will be done.

How I wish Malaysian political party leader has the character and guts to do this. I don’t care from which party. Doesn’t matter if its a black cat or white cat. If it can catch the rats, it is the good cat. (Hear that, Malaysiakini? Give us both sides of the story too, ok?)

Any takers from UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, rest of the component parties in Barisan Nasional?

Any takers from PKR, DAP, PAS, rest of the Pakatan Rakyat?

Or am I putting too high a KPI beyond the capacity of Malaysian political leaders???

Scandalously entertaining melee in Perak State Assembly

Hee Yit Foong was very entertaining… as were all the highly energetic Yang Berhormats. Finally all the deeply buried talents rised to public scrutiny. Syabas to the hardworking YB actors/actresses.

Chanced upon a very miniscule paragraph from The Starsomeone from Barisan Nasional expertly id the source of the problem (gasp! shock!)

Pandemonium could have been avoided

KUALA LUMPUR: MCA president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat said the pandemonium at the Perak state assembly on Thursday could have been avoided had the standing orders been upheld.

“I was shocked to learn of some (people) acting violently and some being dragged out physically. This has tainted the process of parliamentary democracy.

“If we want to play polemics and party politics, I hope we will respect the standing orders and assembly etiquette, be it in Parliament or the state assembly,” he said after launching a calligraphy exhibition at Wisma Kebudayaan SGM in Bukit Bintang.

Oh! One question before I sign off: That was a mighty huge thumb drive you have there, Ms Hee. How many gigabytes does it store, pray tell?
