Who’s afraid of reform or THE slippers?

Frankly, my dear, I’m still sandalised oops scandalised with the stupidity of the 921 MCA members….

Diam, oops, Daim is one disappointed man too…

.

“It is a great disappointment that the MCA Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) is not being used for a united MCA call for a Royal Commission of Inquiry into the RM12.5 billion Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal to bring to book all MCA, Umno and Barisan Nasional leaders implicated in the “mother of all scandals”.

When former Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin could say that the PKFZ fiasco provides the Barisan Nasional government the best opportunity to fulfill its promise of cracking down on corruption, abuse of power and mismanagement, why are MCA, Umno and other Barisan Nasional component parties dragging their feet when they should be acting decisively to identity and punish the wrongdoers, without fear or favour and regardless of their present or past position or status?

Daim speaks with great authority, knowledge and experience when he said:

“The government must punish all those lawbreakers, only then can it regain the public’s confidence. In the past, the public did not see those who abused their power getting punished, resulting in more abuses of power. As such, it (making the PKFZ audit report public) is a good start”.

(Read more here: Daim: PKFZ fiasco provides best opportunity)

.

Now, we have a fiery grand ole man of DAP Uncle Lim Kit Siang who is very angry with MCA:

“This is why the MCA, as the party which is most implicated in the PKFA scandal as so many MCA top leaders were involved whether as Transport Minister or Port Klang Authority Chairman, should take a stand to ensure that there should be no further cover-up of the PKFZ scandal and its EGM should, among other things, demonstrate the undivided support of the MCA delegates for a Royal Commission of Inquiry to bring to book all MCA, Umno and BN leaders implicated in the PKFZ “mother of all scandals”.

.

Oh dear…

Now we know why Chua Soi Lek’s campaign team works so tirelessly to bring about the MCA EGM….

What or Who gives, Soi Lek?

And while we are at it, MCA Central Delegates, will you do the right thing or risk your moral values for le fury de garland of slippers?

September 7, 2009

Dear sir, may I ask you to account for your billions?

Somebody read this in Lim Kit Siang’s blog and email to me to jazz up le balmy Sunday evening:

From Mr Lim Kit Siang’s pen:

In July 2003, the ACA announced a new policy of transparency to be more responsive towards public demand for information about its investigations, viz:

• The ACA will keep all complainants informed on the status of investigations into their reports if they want it.

• Heads of government departments will be informed of the decision of the Attorney-General on investigations involving their subordinates.

• The ACA will issue statements about cases that are still under investigation if it feels necessary, including those already decided by the Attorney-General.

However, after 11 years, I have still to get a proper report on the status of ACA investigations into my June 1997 report to the ACA as to how Ling Hee Leong, son of Ling Liong Sik, could at the age of 27 embark on corporate acquisitions exceeding RM1.2 billion in a matter of months and whether there had been improper use and influence of his father’s political and Ministerial position.

I feel for you, Uncle Lim. TQ.

From somebody, an MCA member maybe, who was pissed with Ling Hee Leong who was a candidate in Gopeng in GE12:

by max2811 on February 23rd, 2008 17:22

I’m glad you have taken up this issue which I wrote in your blog earlier. He is actually throwing money in Lawan Kuda, New Kopisan, Gopeng, Simpang Pulai and Gunung Rapat. He’s spending money on meals and favours which can be of good use to the Chinese schools here.

Also dispensing money to the UMNO branches. On previous elections, I used to help out in the MCA ops room. But not this time.

Even my colleaques who were traditional BN voters have commented negatively on him. A good omen to Dr Lee Boon Chye.

Seems there are 3k voters from the Air Force base being transferred to Ipoh Timur.

Mr.Lim needs to work harder. But I hope Ling Bas tard will lose. His family thinks that MCA belongs to them. Well, there are thousands like me, MCA members who are not voting.Try the local markets in the mornings. One can see the well-dressed gangsters having a nice time.

I should have taken up the offer to help in the MCA ops room. At least I could have known how he buys his way around. But not to worry, many have said, “Take what is given but vote opposition”. Let’s hope he lose. I have asked my friends to pray in the churches, temples and mosques for his defeat.

Ling lost.

Here, try some tricky money maths if you have the time to calculate how much eldest son of Tun Ling Liong Sik sifted through his gold fingers during the merry years before MACC turns fierce:

by hkh on February 24th, 2008 00:27

Moon Rock face old Ling explained that his little Ling is a business genius at his first corporate acquisition. If old Ma believed old Ling at that time, can we question the ACA? There is IQ Genius, but Business Genius? Only politician genius without skin can coin such aterm.

But even if little Ling picks up RM50 every hour since his birth, he can

only collect 50 x 24 hour x 365 days x 27 years = 11,826,000 less than 12 MILLION.

Extending this to RM50 every MINUTE, total is only 709 MILLION.

I wonder how many chinese schools and mosques can be built with the millions.

And, here is a major OMG! moment for you…

by TrueMalaysian8888 on February 24th, 2008 23:25

Everyone knows who is Tun Ling !!!!!

There’s a true story where a famous artist from China who display his work in KL and shows a portrait of Tun Ling for just one day and the artist quickly took it out from the display as the visitors spit on his portrait !!!! Thats what we chinese said ` Wei chau Mann nei’.

???

Finally, a teary sympathic moment for this tiny voice’s dear loss

by nus on February 23rd, 2008 15:16

Has this gentleman (Ling Hee Leong) anything to do with Rekapac shares. My Rekapac shares are worthless now. Can I seek compensation?

Will a reformed MCA stand up against corruption? Ong Tee Keat or Chua Soi Lek please answer?

August 24, 2009

A question to MCA members and bloggers: You want your party to reform or stay unreformed?

.

As reported by Malaysiakini:-

Chua Jui Meng speaking at a dinner in Bukit Mertajam last night said:

…it was unprecedented for Umno leaders to just stand by and watch a defenceless Ong Tee Keat being subject to mounting attacks and pressure by his detractors over his handling of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal .

Punished for exposing truth

“Ong is the president of the second largest BN component party and no one from Umno is protecting him.

“I find it strange,” said Chua, who lost is challenge for the MCA presidency to Ong in the party elections last October.

MCA president Ong is already facing a suit by Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd’s (KDSB) chief executive officer and Bintulu parliamentarian Tiong King Sing over his outspoken and transparent handling of the PKFZ issue.

I must declare, that for the first time in a very long time, MCA is demonstrating its will to try to clean itself up.

And yet, beyond the cursory noises made by its central delegates, the support for reform is very deafeningly silent from its 1 million layman members who:

- wear MCA name in their business networking,
- have benefited from MCA’s China network,
- have benefited from MCA’s Taiwan network,
- claim to want a more meritorious politics,
- claim to speak out on behalf of Chinese community,
- claim to want to save MCA

Isn’t it true that Chinese values balance in the environment for a harmonious living and business?

What are you going to do now to ensure MCA stays on to balance UMNO’s presence in BN?

Would you muster up your values of 5,000 years to courageously speak up for your party’s attempt to redeem itself so that it can finally become a political party with substance?

Can you stand up to voice support for MCA reform. Or are you going to run away as usual? Or opt to take refuge with the Pakatan Rakyat and make PR so strong that it replaces UMNO to become the next lord of Malaysia?

Sheesh…. do something quick to help your MCA, if you want to see a 2 party system flourish in Malaysia.

MCA members and MCA bloggers, Malaysians are all watching your next moves.

P/S:

Saving individuals like the stubborn Ong Tee Keat or the tainted Chua Soi Lek should never be more important than saving your party MCA. Choose wisely with an eye on your community’s future.

MCA’s Ong Tee Keat seeks new 1Malaysia stars of blogging generation

party networks for the next big political sensation. — BOLEHNEWS pic

.

BOLEHLAND, Aug 21 — MCA mogul Ong Tee Keat “OTK” wants you — an MCA star of the blogging generation. He does not want a member who can only talk, think, or look good on TV, but one who can do all that, and social network.

This past Sunday, OTK launched a new TV competition show on the MCA cable network called “OTK’s MCAStar” that, like Astro’s “Akademi Fantasia,” aims to find an unknown member who has the stuff to join Barisan Nasional “BN” stable of political stars.

But heading into a new decade of the 21st Century, winning fame and fortune as a politician is far different that when the maveric political party president, member of Parliament, writer and all-around debater first became a star his own right since the 1980s.

“The game has changed,” OTK told BOLEHNEWS this week.

“You have to understand how to be able to position & brand yourself,” he said. “Before, it was just at rhetorical talk, now you have to be able to deliver on your promises, you have to be able to do a great interview, you need to have a great blog, you have to have a sincere media presence.”

“OTK’s MCAStar,” which will premier next Sunday with 100 contestants, runs through 2009-2011 and has a format similar to “Akademi Fantasia” and other TV talent contests by eliminating member performers who fail to make the cut until a winner is crowned.

OTK said his show different from a “voyeuristic standpoint” because it gives behind-the-scenes footage of the member contestants interacting with each other and watching from backstage as their rivals perform.

He has another show airing on media called “Courage To Change, Creating New Values,” in which OTK seeks dedicated party members to back him on an overdue MCA party reform and support his agenda, “Reform of MCA.” The show began since he assumed Presidency in October 2008 with many undiscovered members competing for spots, and it runs through 2012.

“Hopefully I’ll be able to get a whole party, but if I’m able to get pieces, whatever I’m able to get,” he said. “It’s about giving some young and committed members an opportunity.”

OTK founded New Courage & Values Agenda in the 1990s and finding success as an unconventional political member who talk without fear or favour in regards to MCA politico, business and reformation. He has also committed to revamping PKFZ: The Tiong King Sing connection and CSL: The Moral & Political Dilemma of A Naughty Deputy. — BOLEHNEWS

Najib’s supreme diplomacy; MCA delegates to fight for seats at AGM

It seems to me many Malaysians read newspapers and the online media with half awaken minds and comatosed logic. Only sex, scandals and more scandals can do magic to raise the poor zombies. (Don’t blame education system, only yourself to blame for refusing to kickstart your brain engine)

Didn’t BN already said each component party is their own boss within their respective political party?

No. 2 man Muhyiddin Yassin clearly clarified:
“All parties have their problems but the important thing its how to solve them. Whatever the problems, we must solve them ourselves.” (Bernama: “Don’t use media to solve internal problems“)

Starved for a scandal, the media is feverishly playing up the problems of Ong Tee Keat and Chua Soi Lek. Not so different from vultures waiting for the tempting flesh to feast on.

Eager for a fight to happen, the media is now speculating on a matter of importance only to MCA members and delegates.

Gone were the days when Malaysia newspapers reported facts. No wonder sales of newspapers goes down in parallel with its degeneration to thrashy tabloid. Readers are sending signals to newspapers to buck up on news facts, but unfortunately, the newspapers managers are too thick.

Not to be outdone, online media is also catching up on speculative hearsays aka gossip in their ‘news’ report. See how a simple matter has been elevated skyhigh on the scandal scale:

“Rumours have been swirling within MCA that Barisan Nasional (BN) chairperson and premier Najib Abdul Razak are not on the same page over the party’s annual general assembly, usually held by Aug 31. Many have seen this as a sign of Najib’s displeasure with MCA president Ong Tee Keat, over the latter’s public squabbles with deputy Dr Chua Soi Lek.” (Malaysiakini: “Najib not delaying MCA meet“)

The above is an exemplery example of poor journalism or rather of a reporter with extremely low competency in politics. News facts, dear reporter. Your job is not to spread rumours or hearsay.

The way I see it, its more like Najib is waiting for MCA’s Disciplinary Board to get its report to the Presidential Council’s decision.

Clever Najib certainly knows his diplomacy and this is an excellent show of respecting MCA’s rights to resolve its internal issues before he comes to open MCA’s AGM.

Yep, MCA the political party’s internal issue is entirely its own to resolve. Nobody who’s not a member or a delegate has got the locus standi to stick their grubby little fingers in matters relating to management of MCA.

Unless, of course, they are the main actors involved in a disciplinary issue. Unless, of course they want to see UMNO’s balancing partner dies an early death. Devoid without its life partner, UMNO dies also. How devious.

Meanwhile, a big kudos to Najib. Good one. This is a real life example of leadership that I’ve been waiting for BN to demonstrate to 1Malaysia.

Party leader promising to act to set things right

Today was a busy day. Trust in politics has been eroded so much over the last week that I knew we needed to act fast to start setting things right. I began by meeting individual members of the Shadow Cabinet. We went through those claims that have caused concern, and they agreed to pay them back. There is a genuine desire to recognise and respond to the public anger.

Next I met the Shadow Cabinet as a whole and told them the immediate action I’m going to ask all my MPs to take. All expenses must be published online; you can’t ‘flip’ your second home to make more money; if you sell a home on which the taxpayer has been making mortgage interest payments, you have to pay Capital Gains Tax; and any claims on furniture, household goods, food – all those things we’ve read about – are banned.

After that I met the Executive of the 1922 Committee and then the whole of the Parliamentary Party. I went through the new rules in detail and told them about the key proposal for a Scrutiny Panel – including someone completely independent from the Party – to go over all excessive claims and see whether they need to be paid back. I had to be very clear about this: if they don’t co-operate with the Scrutiny Panel, they can’t continue to be MPs.

And it’s not just those in Parliament who need to understand this mission. It’s also those who aspire to be. Every single candidate has got to sign up to this new way of doing politics. They need to know that working in Parliament is a great privilege – one that must never be abused again.

All this is about being the change we seek. If we want responsibility in our society and thrift in our government, we’ve got to live by those values ourselves.

From,

A Political Party Leader

**

Sigh…  no excuses, no spinning or whitewashing in newspapers or online news portal. Just zooming in straight on the problem, then zipping about restoring confidence in people simply by way of plain communication to show voters what action is undergoing and will be done.

How I wish Malaysian political party leader has the character and guts to do this. I don’t care from which party. Doesn’t matter if its a black cat or white cat. If it can catch the rats, it is the good cat. (Hear that, Malaysiakini? Give us both sides of the story too, ok?)

Any takers from UMNO, MCA, MIC, Gerakan, rest of the component parties in Barisan Nasional?

Any takers from PKR, DAP, PAS, rest of the Pakatan Rakyat?

Or am I putting too high a KPI beyond the capacity of Malaysian political leaders???

Wanita UMNO chief contest: Damned if you do and damned if you don’t

Hear ye, hear ye, Wanita UMNO ladies… did the respected Tengku Tan Sri Ahmad Rithauddeen Tengku Ismail sent you ladies a hint! hint! yesterday?

Let the contest begin with a nice compendium of nice short Snippets (or is it called Sound Bites now?)

*

*

A sad woman’s comment:

Snippet #1:

Perwakilan Wanita UMNO perlu pikir sedalam-dalamnya sebelum memilih Ketua Wanitanya.

Perkara paling penting yang mesti dipertimbangkan:

~SEDIH.

*

*
Rafidah says that until to the end of the world the Malay women in UMNO will need to throng house to house to do voters survey! Yikes!!! All Wanita UMNO members better load up on your whitening lotions and sun blocks SPF50++ quickly!!! PRU 13 not very far away, you know…

On second thought, how the heck can the women do this in high rise and swanky households of KL, Selangor? One can walk and walk, houses to houses but one can only interview the maids cos the “Tuan tak ada rumah!” I wonder if the baju kurungs of Wanita UMNO can withstand the bites of upset imported dogs… heheheehe…

Snippet # 2:

“Ada kalangan wanita UMNO yang menyebut soal perubahan kerana mereka kata sampai bila Wanita UMNO hendak jadi peraih undi?

RAFIDAH: Sampai kiamat.

Mingguan Malaysia Rafidah memaparkan kenapa beliau ingin terus menerajui Wanita.

http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y=2009&dt=0315&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Rencana&pg=re_02.htm

*

*

A blogger said there’s nothing to shout about Wanita UMNO’s non-achievements so far:

Snippet # 3:
“Jika menyorok sejarah wanita, tiada apa yang boleh dibanggakan oleh sayap parti itu, tiada sumbangan boleh dijadikan buah tangan untuk ahli Umno.

Apa yang wanita Umno tahu adalah melaksanakan lawatan sambil belajar, ke luar negara. Itu sahaja. Rafidah perlu memikirkan satu gagasan idea yang terbaik bagi menjenamakan semula Wanita Umno.”

~Guana Gu

*

*

eh… the journalist also agreed with the blogger on change…
Apparently them journalists are also tired of no ideas from Rafidah despite queening it as Wanita UMNO chief all these years…

Snippet # 4:

Seorang wartawan menjawab: YB… your speech is nothing. Give us another story.”

Here’s a brief biodata compiled by a fellow blogger on Rafidah Aziz that the people on the street still can remember and gossip about:

Snippet # 5:

Malaysia: Parley now before it’s too late to tackle economic crisis

The Malaysian mainstream media and Malaysiakini are too pre-occupied with petty politics.

I say us normal people should demand for real life stories of the people, for the people.

Have you heard that a kid at school vomited blood suddenly in class recently? Apparently, this kid was left with biscuits for his breakfast and lunch everyday. His parents rush to work everyday and later back to kiddo with dinner. This child is now fighting for his young life in hospital cos the poor child’s stomach decided to protest from the daily assault of acidic erosion. (Amazing isn’t it, how the stomach just doggedly do its job to grind and grind regardless of any input?)

This story is real. This story is now playing in Selangor.

This story is not in your mainstream newspapers nor Malaysiakini.com

With daily bad news and low confidence looking on the economic horizon, our stupid politicians are still playing ‘wayang kulit’ to up each other’s ante to grab as much power as possible for themselves.

After Permatang Pauh, Kuala Terengganu, we can expect more energy and money to be spent in possible Perak by-elections.

Sadly, nobody in Malaysia politics has the sensibility to put a stop to all this time wasters! No analysts have whack both Barisan and Pakatan to come to their senses in this time of economic troubles. Political analysts seem too busy fanning up bushfires to help produce more Barisan and Pakatan B-grade dramas.

Maybe I shouldn’t scold the political analysts. In business, it is poor use of resource to waste our politicians hard honed talents of squabbling, demanding each other to resign, back-stabbing each other and name calling.

Meanwhile, leaders all over the world are cracking their heads to solve economic contraction and are even trying to close ranks to tackle economic woes for their country.

In Malaysia, we have idiot BN and PR politicians on rakyat’s payroll spending their time and energy to get their opponents to cross over and party hopping.

I proclaim and demand PARLEY now!

In case our dense Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat representatives are too giddy from power wrestling to even recognise what does ‘parley‘ means:

“Parley (parli or parlei) is a discussion or conference, especially one between enemies over terms of a truce or other matters. The root of the word parley is parlée, which is from the French verb parler “to speak”; specifically the conjugation parlez “you(pl) speak”, whether as imperative or indicative.”

If those silly Pirates of the Carribean can practice parley, there’s no reason for silly Politicians of Malaysian not to.

I demand hero politicians from Barisan and Pakatan having the courage and to stand together to work on way forward for this country in this uncharted times!

If nothing happening soon, it will be time again for the Rakyat to source for new politicians who will ensure no more kiddo stomachs go hungry in coming hard times.

Worst along bank in Malaysiakini: Najib’s brother’s CIMB wins award

Anybody using Direct Access/Southern Bank/CIMB Bank credit card – beware of Nazir Razak’s bank!

If you are late even 1 day making payment you will be slapped with 1% penalty on total outstanding.

If eg your o/s balance is 10k, you will kena $100 max penalty.

My friend came back from holiday and was late 5 days in payment. The nice legal along bank slapped him nicely with the penalty. When he called the bank to ask if this is approved by Bank Negara, the customer service just answered that it is the Bank policy.

My friend ask me to convey this:

“Please warn your friends and family, avoid this credit cards along bank.”

.

p/s: I wonder if this is along activity is sanctioned by Bank Negara?  Najib Razak, do you know anything about this bullying activity?

Malaysiakini, are you going to help find out why CIMB hungry for the blood of their trapped credit card holders?

Permatang Pauh by-election: KL Bookies reduced odds of Anwar

Am on a holiday from yukky, unhygenic backside, dubur, sodomy, liwat, etc kind of politics.

But I could not resist this juicy bit, must share with you all…

Kuala Lumpur bookies have reduced the odds of Anwar Ibrahim winning the Permatang Pauh (P44) by-election by a majority of only 4,000 votes.

Kesian we who betted more…. there goes my future nice holiday.
