Election day is 8 March

Yo…

After fumbling and wasting expensive airtime for about 8 minutes, the bumbling and clumsy Radio 24 finally managed to carry live SPR Tan Sri Rashid’s announcement that nomination day on 24 Feb and Election day on 8 March.

Now I’m having a nice time listening to the Election Commission chairman arguing with somebody who mentioned election rigging. “What do you mean?” “This is giving a bad image!”

Now he’ arguing about something else. “Itu saya tak mau jawab lah.” Wow. He’s not answerable. Cool.

hahahaha….

  1. Hi,
I was listening to R24 as well. Surprised to meet someone who also listens to it! Anyway, you’re right – quite unprofessional in handling the live broadcast. And it was very clear from the PC how arrogant the EC Chairman is and in refusing to answer the questions.

I’m from CIJ and am working with Aliran and WAMI in doing news monitoring. If you do find anything that can be analysed do let me know. You can find us at http://www.cijmalaysia.org and the monitor reports will be at http://www.aliran.com/elections.

  2. Yes, madam.

I’m doing my bit to help by monitoring how free radio and tv are being utilitised to disseminate propaganda. No use complaining only on the internet.

Am very appreciative of CIJ’s efforts. May I suggest CIJ to analyse TVI & 2 – they’re using it to paint opposing views in bad light. Worse still, using unthinking non Malays to make comments unfavourable to demonstrators. Of course, these people have the right to have their opposing views. But should be done in a fair and just way to offer as many perspectives to viewers/Malaysians – not by using out & out propaganda.

May CIJ succeed by offering as many multi-perspectival views of the people as possible (real man on the street, please. Not only the elites)
