Check your baby bottles and toddler drinking cups etc

Do you check your baby bottles, toddler’s drinking cups, etc to make sure it has no BPA?

Baby bottles and children’s drinking cups could no longer contain bisphenol A, or BPA, an estrogen-mimicking industrial chemical used in some plastic bottles and food packaging.

The chemical can leach into food, and a study of over 2,000 people found that more than 90 percent of them had BPA in their urine. Traces have also been found in breast milk, the blood of pregnant women and umbilical cord blood.

Reports of potentially negative health effects have made BPA notorious, especially among parents, and led to widespread shunning of products thought to contain the chemical. Canada, Chicago and Suffolk County, N.Y., have banned BPA from children’s products. In 2010, the F.D.A. said that it had “some concern about the potential effects of BPA on the brain, behavior and prostate gland of fetuses, infants and children.”

BPA has been used since the 1960s to make hard plastic bottles, cups for toddlers and the linings of food and beverage cans, including those that hold infant formula and soda. Until recently, it was used in baby bottles, but major manufacturers are now making bottles without it. Plastic items containing BPA are generally marked with a 7 on the bottom for recycling purposes.

Nazri Aziz blames top component partners for BN failure

A friend alerted me that Sinchew today reported that the uncouth Nazri Aziz blamed MIC and MCA for failure to help BN win in GE12. This winner of Padang Rengas MP seat who scraped by with a majority of 1,749 is a real swinger.

On a good day, he offers gems like, “We (UMNO) have to really sit down and think” and on a moody day, he whacks MIC and MCA.

Its high time our new and energetic Health Minister get the warders from Tanjung Rambutan to give dear Nazri a much needed psycho session. If need be, give him basic icepick lobotomy. It’s a wonderfully good way to release bad gas trapped in his thick skull and offers Nazri an instant mood swing reliever.

Luckily, MITI Minister Muhyiddin Yassin (I like him better than Rafidah Abdul Aziz). I think he a more classy political breed and has behaviour way palatable than Nazri’s. On the topic in Sinchew, Muhyiddin ventured to suggest helping component parties to take on roles to improve BN messaging.

OK, I caya you, Muhyiddin (at the moment).

Chua Soi Lek’s parting gift to MCA?

Filed under: Citizenry, Forum, Government, Life, Media, Politics — Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , — bananachinese @ 12:11 pm

Hmmmm….

Food for your thoughts and outlet for you to channel your views on this latest fiasco. Go forth and give it to MCA good here.

Compared with UMNO, MIC, Gerakan, etc, MCA’s the best of the BN lot. Or even when compared with the opposition. Why? Easy logic, just compare overall results brought to the community under their wing.  Rest assured, we’ll adjust our comparison when the ‘not yet in government’ opposition get their act together and give us some substance.

Thank you, Chua Soi Lek and good health to you.

Yeap, fresh from Putrajaya.

Chua Soi Lek the victim of unhealthy political culture held a press conference just now. He resigns from all government posts AND all MCA posts.

Yeap, the unhappy party/parties who did the dvd has won handsomely.

Just hit right below the belt to scalp a ministerial post.

Condolences to Malaysians who’ve just lost their best performing minister.
