A political strategist’s 2 sens to UMNO Presidential candidate aka Malaysia Prime Minister

The silat prancing has started. Lift one knee up, steady tracing an invisible pattern on the ground with the other foot, switch, both hands swinging in graceful movement- with one eveready to pull out the keris at the moment of danger.

Played out correctly from years of training, deploying of various skillsets and tuning up the senses, the silat can be very elegant and engrossing to all its audience.

Isn’t this so like what the potential candidates for UMNO leadership are doing now? How I wish the silat by UMNO can be made more elegant so that all Malaysians can enjoy an engrossing performance. Stuff like this cannot find in malaysiakini.com or malaysia-today.net. Luckily, I bumped into my political strategist friend at the local mamak.

After some heady tea halia, I cornered my friend to share some basic ingredients for a successful silat.

Q: How, please?

A: First thing to do is to make your stand clear. State your stand something like: loyalty to the King, country and the rakyat who voted you to power and your party can come next.

Q: Wow. Ya lah, ever since Badawi became PM it became agama, bangsa dan negara. You made it the other way round. This reminds me of the Rukunegara “Loyalty to the king and country.” What next?

A. Back up your stand and demonstrate it in words and actions. Say what you mean and do what you say. For example, if one says “We guarantee not to condone narrow views on religion or race supremacy” – just walk the talk. Confront or discipline those going against this stand even though they are own party members. The rakyat see this and rakyat will ‘know’ you are not partisan in dispensing justice. This creates confidence, respect and most importantly, loyalty to the candidate. Kinda like a fan club.

Q. Like that other party members who refuse change will hate this person.

A. What’s more important? You want to shine as a deadwood party yes man or a party man possessing vitality and promise of future greatness?

Q: Don’t understand la. Speak English please.

A: Just go get yourself a DVD of the movie 300. You’ll get to feel the spirit of heroism, no need to understand. Train, train and train to acquire the fighting skills, choose your circle of men carefully – check their skillsets, then go for the battle. That’s how great empires were built.

Q: Please.. just give me the juice in simple language.

A: A country that aspires for greatness examines its potential leaders carefully. The rakyat exercises their right to question, test political candidates for their political stand and personal values. In Malaysia, after the tsunami of 12th General Election, the rakyat have dropped their blind loyalty and picking up their rights to admonish and punish lesser leaders or pretenders.

Q: Ok, philosopher. Tell me how to do it ok?

A: I’ve just told you, my friend.
.
Aiyah… all these political strategist experts, they sure don’t give away their trade secrets that easily.

CheDet resigns from UMNO!

Hot!!!

Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad announced at 12:35pm today from Alor Setar that he resigns from UMNO. Reason for resignation as a protest against PM Dato’ Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

No wonder his voice was not steady during the interview with Bernama on topic of Lingam Tape Royal Inquiry where Tun M said go on, investigate. The man must have been angry, terribly angry at this undignified political slap in the face.

And so, today, in his resignation announcement, Tun M also invites other UMNO members to resign. BUT, not to join other political parties…

Like this blogger here, I suspect we shall see a revival of Semangat 46 or a rebranded one as Semangat 88 soon?

Wonder what the other members of the component parties in Barisan Nasional must be thinking now. Uneasy? Happy with respite from heat as UMNO is now in the full blast of the super trooper and will be indulging in it for some time?

Students of politics, please take this golden opportunity to learn top skillful political play from the best of the best, ok?

The Kingmakers: Sabah, Sarawak & the 12th General Elections

Sabah and Sarawak the kingmakers??? Perhaps we need to re-think again:

.
A super Deepthroat divulged this:

He went to Dubai alone to meet DSAI. He could not meet DSAI in Malaysia without the others knowing. Went there to cut a deal. In truth what DSAI was saying about the 30 odd MPs who will defect are actually AAB group in UMNO. They know if they lose power all will be lost and that is why AAB since elections have been making popular decisions and showing that is also as progressive as DSAI and when he join PR the public will say he made a right decision. He will continue as PM until the next elections. DSAI will be the power behind the PM. the deal has already been discussed with the PR partners and they have accepted it all. TM , MH ,DSNAR all will be left behind and do not know what hit them. KJ is actually a DSAI sleeper in UMNO.

Was mission was to woo AAB daughter marry her and destroy UMNO from inside. This is DSAI ultimate revenge for all the wrong doing UMNO of TM did to him. Just check and see who sponsored KJ to Oxford. Lately you can see AAB and KJ have been bold.

Just something for all you to chew on and much more I know off. I know a lot because I also walk in the corridors of power that is the power of internet

cheers
xxxxx

if you read below article posted in MT , DSAI is now in Mumbai and out of Malaysia. Flight time from Dubai to Mumbai is only less then 2 hours and they are a lot of flights between these two places , more flights the from KL to Singapore. If you read the article I am posting below you can see DSAI was talking from Mumbai. Any body or even PKR can add any to it.

Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim Says He’ll Be In Power By September
Posted by Super Admin
Saturday, 17 May 2008

MUMBAI, INDIA: Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim said Friday (16 May) he would have enough support to topple Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s government by September.

Anwar told reporters that his People’s Justice Party needed just 30 members to gain a simple majority in parliament. His party controls 82 seats in the legislature.

“By our calculation, we should move before 16 Sept,” he said during his visit to Mumbai, India’s financial and entertainment capital, for a lecture series on “Human Rights Awareness.”

The date is significant as his country celebrates 16 Sept as “Malaysia Day” _ commemorating the establishment of the Malaysian federation in 1963 by joining the provinces of Malaya, Singapore, Sabah and Sarawak.

Although Anwar has made such claims several times in the past, Friday was the first time he has given a specific timeframe to try to pull down the government.

He was ousted from government in 1998 by then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad in a power struggle amid accusations of corruption and sodomy. Anwar denied the charges, which he said were trumped up.

The sodomy charge was later overturned, but he served prison time after being convicted of corruption.

The corruption charge prevented him from holding public office until 14 Apr 2008, which meant he could not contest the 8 Mar general elections.

A record 82 opposition members from a three-party alliance led by Anwar were elected to the 222-member lower house in the elections. This shook the ruling National Front’s grip on governance for the first time in 40 years.

Anwar said last month that it won’t be long before he is elected a lawmaker in a by-election.

“We have enough numbers now. But we want the transition to be peaceful and democratic,” he said Friday.

He has said any government he forms will change Malaysia’s system of promoting majority ethnic Malays _ Anwar himself is Malay _ in government contracts, jobs and education over ethnic Chinese and Indian Malaysians.

“Many ruling party members of parliament know that the time for racial politics is over,” said Anwar, adding that he was confident that governing party members would defect to his side. (AP)

A Sabah & Sarawak MP defection was a ploy (Red herring) by DSAI to deflect from the real crossovers taking place. All attention and energy is on the East Malaysian MP’s and the UMNO MP’s in West Malaysia were free to meet up with DSAI’s gang and plan the defections. Poor East Malaysian MP’s , for once they thought they were the King Makers and now all know what they are up to. Just like beggars suddenly striking the jackpot but only a fool’s jackpot .DSAI will not form a federal government with these spineless MP’s.

REMEMBER DSAI and AAB body language when they meet in the opening day of the parliament (The photo on the front page of the newspapers)

More to come as I get more info on the progress report of the UMNO MP’s. Sept date was only a ploy and a red herring. All going to take place in next 2 weeks time. No need to sack the PM because AAB will defeat the non-confidence vote with the help of PR and AAB Group UMNO Mp’s who will defect to PR. There will be a cabinet reshuffle so after. UMNO Ministers who will be retained are as follows because they will be the defectors

Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz
Datuk Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi ( When DSAI was sacked , he was in DSAI’s house everyday )
Datuk Mohd Zaid Ibrahim
Datuk Mohd Zin Mohamad
Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim
Datuk Shahrir Samad
Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek

and surprise

Datuk Azalina Othman

And no non-UMNO Ministers or Sabah UMNO Ministers will be retained but the vocal Sabah and Sarawak MP’s will be made ministers. Cabinet will be expanded to 30 Ministers, 38 Asst ministers and 30 parliamentary secretaries. Total will be 99 and balance MP’s will be given other important posts with good
salary. All will be happy and all will be taken care.

DSAI will not make a tactical move without the consent of DAP and PAS. All now are hunger for power after their appetite has been vetted by DSAI’s announcements that PR are now government in waiting. All politicans are the same and get corrupted with power. Look at Taiwan , South Korea ,Indonesia, Thailand , Philippines , Pakistan ,india , Israel and so on. They profess the perfect govermental principles when in opposition but what happen when they come in power. They only last for a term. Come fast and clean up the state coffers fast aftraid that they will not have another opturnity again. here else the former ruling party only rob the interest not the capital

Royal Commission inquiry report on Lingam Tape $541.60 only, only, only…

Ok, ok, ok.

Ok, Malaysians, in this time of difficulty in cari makan, the concerned citizens now have been gently refused access to acquire a copy of the Lingam Tape Royal Commission inquiry report. I think some people in the  government are a bit out of touch with reality of life – how can a normal everyday Malaysian comfortably fork out $541.60 for this book – even if citizens are very, very, very concerned? Somemore have to travel all the way to Legal Affairs Division in PM Dept in Putrajaya to get it. This means only rich, unemployed people can buy such expensive book.

Oi, Mr Zaid Ibrahim, I remember I lobbied for you for ministership (ahem, ahem in cyberworld…) cos I thought you are one having your two ears listening and two feet firmly on the ground in tune with citizens’ concerns.

Come on, make la the inquiry or sections of it available on the internet. If government can make RMK9 available on the internet free for download, make the same la for this inquiry. If government wants to recover some pocket money, can make CD for sale, maybe at RM10 – guarantee you this CD will be hotter than the pirated ones.

This inquiry has potential for far, far, far bigger implications for future of Malaysia. If you, Zaid can do something to make this work, you’ll have a place of honour in Malaysia’s history.

Trust this lobbyist, Mr Zaid.

P/S: Maybe an apology is due to Anwar Ibrahim if he suffered from any law gerrymandering in Lingam’s time…

No holds barred dissection of Malaysia Chinese Association (MCA)!

Fu Yoh!

If Ong Ka Ting can lead his band of lethargic Central Committee members to do this type of no holds barred evaluation of MCA’s health and lifespan beyond the next GE… Maybe, maybe MCA can be like the re-born phoenix and rise again.

My MCA senior friend told me nobody knows the results of the party post mortem (I hate this term- usually used on dead bodies!!). Most probably the report would not be an earth shattering, totally honest revelation, he thought. When I asked why he arrive at such conclusion, he said as the Central Committee members towkays are not in tune with grassroots and the middle class thinking (king makers of GE12) and what’s going on in internet conversations, their post mortem will be most unlikely to reflect the true state of MCA.

Oh yeah, to listen to the no holds barred critic of MCA, just click to open the podcast HERE.

You won’t find this podcast in malaysiakini.com or malaysia-today.net.

.

Tell me what you think of the critic, or whether you have other ideas, ok? Must transmit to my senior MCA friend’s ears.

.

P/S: MCA snoop squad, (if you exist) you better listen to this and tell it like it is to your bosses, ok?

Muhyiddin for UMNO President aka Malaysia Prime Minister? Pakatan Rakyat say something!!!

Woah!

Muhyiddin is really hinting out loud that he is willing and ready for a go for Presidency for UMNO.

Anybody else ready to throw the gauntlet and go for gold? Ooops, candidancy?

Can we have caucus in every state of Malaysia before the finale at the UMNO party election later this year?

Caucuses where the state UMNO delegates have chance to listen to the candidate’s dreams & fears & hopes?

Caucuses where the delegates will take away the messages for tearing to pieces at the local mamak or warong kopi?
I will be following this closely because I want a qualified PM this time around. At least, if the PM do get to meet Obama, our PM won’t get outshined unneccessarily by the new age leader.

P/S:

And I am very angry that the rest of the BN component parties and Pakatan Rakyat do nothing to demand for qualified candidates for UMNO Presidency. As Malaysians, we are stakeholders in the executive post of the country. Or have we relinquished our stakes in the country???

Say something, Anwar Ibrahim, Wan Azizah, Lim Kit Siang, Nik Aziz, please….

At moment it looks like a neck-to-neck between ‘stay’ and ‘abolish’

Raja Petra to be charged with sedition Tuesday!

A friend rang me just now and pestered me to put this news on me blog.

I’m flustered and hopping maaaad… partly because of this news and partly because I have to put up this from mainstream media.

Online article from The Star says this:

KUALA LUMPUR: Raja Petra Kamaruddin, the webmaster of news portal Malaysia Today, is expected to be charged with sedition at the magistrates’ court in the Kuala Lumpur Court Complex in Jalan Duta on Tuesday.

He is expected to appear in court at 9.30am. Raja Petra was investigated under section 4 (1) of the Sedition Act 1948 for the article “Let’s send the Altantuya murderers to hell.”

The article was posted on his website on April 25 and implicated Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor.

Another blogger, Syed Ali Akbar, was also summoned to court and is expected to be charged under the same Act.

He allegedly posted an article on Arabs and Islam on his blog.

Raja Petra’s wife, Marina Lee Abdullah, said the police officer who called them did not state what Raja Petra would be charged with.

“The police officer told us to just appear in court and we would be informed then,” she said.

Marina said once they know what the charges are, they would post bail.

To raise bail, they will involve the people. They will put up their bank account number on the website and encourage Netizens to bank in RM1 each.

On Friday, Raja Petra was summoned to the Federal Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) in Bukit Perdana at 4pm and was allowed to leave two hours later.

Eight police officers from the CCID visited his house in Sungai Buloh at 9am and seized a laptop and a CPU belonging to him before leaving at 11am.
