BN: To rebuild, to regain or to fall into some blackhole that is the question

Filed under: Citizenry, Malaysia, Media, Politics, Repair — Tags: , , , , , , , , , — bananachinese @ 7:15 pm

After BN’s big loss of face outcome from Malaysia’s 13th General Election, Samy Vellu declared sagely recently that it is time for BN to regain people’s trust.

Hmmm… a bit late there (somebody beat the MIC legend to it in 2010).

Makes one wonder why BN still keep them UMNO cybertroopers who helped Najib Razak to lose face big time (especially in Selangor) by repelling voters below 50s.

Listen up UMNO, MCA, MIC – you better find yourselves some quality social media engagers if you want to stay on to give a good fight in GE14. Otherwise it will be a boring GE for your fading members and our pelancong politik.

Some may ask what about Khairy Jamaludin‘s cyber team? Pooh, pooh, I say. In Twitter, FB, blogs, frankly, the MCA writer of the original rebuilding trust article seems to possess more politically solid content than his army’s.

MCA party election 2013

The going was terrible tough for BN’s hapless candidates from MCA in the recent GE13. And now MCA has to suffer the indignity of having a wet nurse to take care of its transport ministerial post while a ‘new’ coterie of MCA leadership gets itself sorted out in their party election.

For now, it is very interesting to discover that some MCA candidates especially in the Selangor kill zone can still increase their fan base by more than 2,000 votes (all together now…. OOOOOH)

Rawang added 2,842 new fans
Kajang added 2,795 new fans
Balakong added 3,044 new fans
Subang Jaya added 2,689 new fans

I gotta feeling that MCA’s party election’s gonna be fun, fun, fun…

Philosophy of new voters registration

Filed under: Citizenry, Government, Malaysia, Parliament, Politics — Tags: , , , , , , , — bananachinese @ 3:21 pm

.
Always, always you hear Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat harping on importance of new voters registration for their party to win the polls. Always, always we hear anecdotes by politicians that registering new voters will add more votes to their party..

Sure or not?

In this age of more heightened human and consumer rights, how can UMNO, MCA, MIC, PAS, DAP, PKR, etc., not realise that most people who aren’t already registered aren’t registered for a reason?

That big reason being they don’t WANT to be registered? That the major reason being they don’t TRUST the political parties to do the lawmaking job effectively?

Consequently, even if you get them to register, it’s going to be tough to get them to actually turn out to vote.

Ain’t that a lot of time and energy wasted for minimal potential return?

Amazing isn’t it, the unthinkingness of our politicians…

Why your constituents aren’t giving you their vote

Filed under: Citizenry, Government, Malaysia, Politics — Tags: , , , , , , — bananachinese @ 12:59 pm

.

Why folks who voted your party in the past are not responding to you as passionately now?

For this Malaysia general election (which date may happen now or later at Mr Najib Razak’s whim/fancy/superstition), it is normal to have candidates and aspiring candidates sweating hot over this issue.

Let me venture some reasons why voters passion diverted:

1.  They didn’t receive your message.
2.  They don’t know you.
3.  Your messengers turned them off

Feel free to add more to this list, folks!

Cows and Condos in Malaysia

Filed under: Citizenry, Malaysia, Media, news, Scandal — Tags: , , , , , , — bananachinese @ 8:06 pm

When money is entrusted by government to a national project, it means just that: use strictly for the project.

Promoters and agencies in charge this project via National Feedlot Corporation should be ashamed for the missed projected promises, deadlines and use of money to buy condos, etc instead.

I wonder if the cows at the NFC are happy about this state of affair?

I hear GE13 voters are not.

Please? Concede gracefully?

.
As a voter, I’m sorry to say this, but its getting to be a bit boring with the rerun and recycling of the Perak Assembly convening by the Pakatan Rakyat‘s group.

According to Malaysiakini report:
“The Perak Pakatan Rakyat elected representatives are determined to proceed with their planned state assembly sitting today despite a police order barring anyone from gathering at the state secretariat.”

Will DAP’s Sivakumar, Nga Kor Ming, Ngeh Koo Ham and PAS’s Nizar concede to the political game loss and come back roaring another day to decisively win the state at the next General Election?

Please?

Concede gracefully?

So that the people of Perak can be allowed to step back a little bit, take stock of the political play in the state and live their lives normally until when GE13 is near?

Please?
